I'm afraid a dear friend will be the next domestic violence statistic as her husband escalates primarily constant verbal abuse such as she is a shit mother and more personal attacks that are gut-wrenching about her age. He has also smashed things, thrown his dinner, and been physically violent, though not beating her but that's where it's heading. He isn't working and is taking it out on her for not working.

She has a very young daughter with him and he constantly tells her he will take the child away forever. He has a different cultural background and I fear that this is heading in only one direction. I need to help her. Obviously I've offered her a place to stay but I'm so far away. She is in Brisbane (I'm not).

What sources of help can I get for her so we can make a plan together to get her out before the worst happens! She has been looking for places but with no work, no one is taking her. I'm genuinely frightened this may end up with him killing her, but I have no evidence for the police at this time. I'd be grateful for all advice. Thank you & #128591 ;& #127995 ;
