Hi Mums,

I would like to ask your opinions re friendship.

I have a friend whom I've known and been friends with for almost 10 years. She has a bubbly personality and has many friends, whereas I'm the introverted kind. I have friends but probably less than 5 people whom I can say are close friends, with her being one of them.

For the past few years, I've sensed our friendship has grown apart. We haven't spend too much time together, and haven't visited each others houses for months (we live 5 mins from each other), We didn't message for weeks. The only time she is messaging me is when she needs my help or wants to borrow something from me. Other than that she never contacts me.

I feel "used" as I feel she takes advantage of me only when she wants something. Is it normal to have this feeling? I kinda feel the friendship has run its course but don't know what to do about it for me, I want to invest in a friendship that is mutual not a one-side relationship benefiting one party if that makes sense.

Appreciate your thoughts xx
